The Petco Foundation currently has a grant opportunity that is available to all Animal Control agencies and non-profit organizations responsible for animal control field support and sheltering services. Grant funds can be requested for differing purposes, because the Petco Foundation believes that governments and non-profits can work together to help save the animals in our communities. However, requests from government organizations must be focused on increasing lifesaving efforts, which could be a variety of programs or needed resources to increase adoptions, return to owners, spay/neuter etc. The only restriction is that Petco Foundation grants may not be utilized to meet the needs of or subsidize government obligations to care for the animals in their communities. Given that many animal care and control organizations go beyond the minimal legal requirements, the Petco Foundation feels this could be a good opportunity for animal control organizations to help increase the lifesaving efforts in their communities and partner with the Foundation.
