We will take your completed registration as a confirmation that you have any necessary approval and/or funding to attend. Please do not register unless you are confident you will be able to attend.
The Boot Camp will be based at the Hilton Knoxville Airport Hotel, 2001 Alcoa Highway, Alcoa, TN 37701. Boot Camp attendees are eligible for a contracted rate of $105/night if you book by May 21, 2017. Employees of the federal government may be eligible for a reduced rate; call the hotel via Sabrina Heath, Sales Manager, at (865) 970-4300 to inquire. Otherwise, make your reservations (by May 21!) at: http://www.hilton.com/en/hi/groups/personalized/K/KNXAHHF-ANIMAL-20170604/index.jhtml
Training will run from approximately 8am to 5pm each day with a minimum of 1 hour for lunch. Lunch will not be provided as part of the program. The hotel has its own restaurant and a shopping area approximately 1-2 miles away has many food options. The hotel shuttle is available for rides within a five-mile radius of the airport. We will ensure that attendees without vehicles have rides to and from the training sites as needed.
Students will have the option to leave at 3pm on Friday to travel home. The last two classroom hours on Friday (3pm-5pm) will be time for optional extra practice with animal control tools, individual conversations with instructors, and networking with other students.
If you have a disability for which you require accommodation, or if you have a service dog you plan to bring with you, please let me know so we can make appropriate arrangements.
